From a single store in South Mumbai, today Cambridge has set up 25 stores in the Mumbai and over 500 stores across the country. The footprints expand beyond our borders and have established a strong presence in the Middle East and South American markets.

  • 1960

    • Cambridge began operations as a single store in Colaba, South Mumbai under the leadership of Mr. Mohanlal Bhatia.
    • After a decade and a half of success in South Mumbai, Cambridge set up its second store in Andheri West, Mumbai.
  • 1978

    • Started manufacturing trousers and gradually all garments and accessories for men as the demand for readymade apparel increased.
    • Mr. Inderji Bhatia took over the entire manufacturing, retail and distribution of Cambridge garments along with his three brothers.
    • Began exporting garments to Kuwait, Sri Lanka, U.A.E. and other countries in the Middle East and the Subcontinent.
    • Set a trend by being the first to launch ‘White Collared Shirts’ in India.
    • Introduced Blazers and Suits at a price that was affordable to the common man
    • Awarded the ‘Best Formal Wear’ brand for three successive years. Voted as the ‘Most Trusted Brand’ by Reader’s Digest.
